Located about 20minutes’s away from Karuizawa Station or just a few minutes away from Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza, Kawakami An is a popular sobaya that is specialized in handmade soba noodles where Nagano is famous for buckwheat. Its’ bestsellers go to these Kamo Seiro and Kamo Soba which is the “duck” soba.

Lunch time was pretty crowded whereby the indoor was fully packed; we skipped the queue and opted to be seated at the terrace. It was cold during autumn but cosy with a heater and a scenic view across the street.

Tucked at Damansara Heights and stand along with a few famous eateries, Nourish is manned by the people behind Kenny Hills Baker, offers delicious plates and baked goods that is made of organic produces and fresh vegetables and herbs, also gluten-free ingredients and refined sugar.

Breakfast menu is available from 8am to 12pm daily, featuring bread and eggs kind of breakfast plate, as well as pancakes and healthy bowls. Lunch is served from 11am onwards with more variety of dishes such as soup, salad, pasta, classic roast chicken, salmon and steak; all presented in a colourful and appetite-boosting way. Wanna check out their lunch menu but we were wait earlier than lunch time. Perhaps, next time.
