My usual-to-go dim sum place has now relocated to Damai Perdana, taking up a few more shop lots and it is now looking more deluxe. Quite happy to see this relocation because this area has better parking spaces, the setting of the restaurant itself is larger and more spacious and zen-ish too. However on the downside, it is now situated deep inside this part of Cheras, which is further away from the city, and from my house laaa to be exact. LOL.
Dim sum here is served “steam-to-order”, so one gotta be patience for your dim sum to be prepared and served. They have expanded from one-page menu to two-page menu now (with slightly more options), offering a selection of Hong Kong dim sum as well as locals’ favourites that include steamed dish, fried dish, cheong fun, porridge, desserts and steamed rice too!

Continue with my January birthday tales (LOL, time to clear off more backlogs), I came back to this comforting Japanese restaurant for a birthday meal!
Yoshinari used to serve Tempura Course during lunch session but now they have switched to Sushi Lunch Course! At Rm 88, you will get a chawanmushi, 9 pieces of sushi, a soup dish, and a fish dish. We topped up for a sweet ending. As Yoshinari limits only 6 pax at sushi lunch per day, so reservation is a must.
I would say this is the most affordable and value for money sushi omakase I have come across. Though neta were slightly thinner, shari were not as compact but they were at good warm temperature and flavourful; at Rm 88 I wouldn’t complain much. Quite a good value to lunch in!
