Ikiya 2.0 @ TTDI, KL
Ikiya 2.0
Located mysteriously above Sachi Dining , Ikiya 2.0 is a cocktail bar that serves terrific cocktails especially those that are interestingly infused with Japanese elements or ingredients. The ambience is very cosy with interior that is quite homey decorated and vintage-y in a way; you will find the dining area on one side and comfy sofa area the other side.
And my cosy corner is this.
Aside from cocktails, they offer bar food and comfortable hot meals like udon, soba, pasta and curry rice too!
Cosmopolitan (Rm 45)
Vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, lime juice
Kyoto Sour (Rm 35)
Sake, lemongrass syrup, lemon juice, green tabasco
That’s my pick and I really love this! I like how the mixologist adding in lemongrass into the sake base cocktail, and touches with spicy kick of green tabasco. Here you get a balance kick of sour and spicy, along with the aroma of lemongrass and sweet sake.
Adzuki Martini (Rm 40)
Red bean infused vodka, sake, dry vermouth, hinoki bitters
Also my order. It was a sweeter version of cocktails but greatly punched with vodka. Yum.
Sachi Spritz (Rm 42)
Sake, lillet blanc, maraschino liqueur, vanilla, chocolate bitters, lemon juice
Coffee Martini
An off menu item but it was nicely done by the mixologist when Jessie asking about the coffee machine and requested something not sweet.
Smoked Radish Pickles with Cream Cheese (Rm 20)
Typical bar food in Japan! Love the smokiness of the smoked radish pickles to pair with the creamy cream cheese, quite an explosive combination on the palate.
Deep Fried Dry Sardines (Rm 20)
Another addictive bar snack to go with the drinks!
Chicken Karaage (Rm 25)
Crab Cream Croquette (Rm 30)
Rich and creamy, aromatic and fluffy!
Inaniwa Udon (Rm 40)
Smoked duck, enoki mushroom, shitake mushroom
Inaniwa udon from Akita Prefecture, which is much tinner than the regular udon. Love its thin texture, silky smooth and adsorbing flavours from the mushroom-rich broth.
Mentaiko Pasta (Rm 35)
Mentaiko, nori shirin, butter
Creamy, briny and buttery; garnished with aromatic seaweed.
And here, we were to celebrate Sze’s birthday!
