Foo Hing Dim Sum @ Bandar Puteri Puchong
Dim sum is something I craved the most during the MCO lockdown time. The piping hot steamy siu mai or har gao, to pair along with mini cups of tie guan yin Chinese hot tea. That’s how dim sum it should be. If you ask me to get those dim sum frozen pack and have it done at home; to be honest, it will be something different because I couldn’t get the variety that is available in the restaurant, and I couldn’t get the vibes of sipping hot tea and chowing down the big fat steamy siu mai.
Soon after the lockdown, I tried checking out dim sum restaurants. Grand Harbour, Grand Imperial and many dim sum places were crowded. Went to Grand Harbour and I find theirs are not as good as before.
So one fine day, I managed to come over to Puchong and tried out Foo Hing. Okay, this was my first time to Foo Hing Dim Sum after trying out their Portuguese Egg Tart numerous times.
Foo Hing Dim Sum
Established in 2009, Foo Hing Dim Sum is serving handmade dim sum that is made with traditional recipe in order to keep it original best flavour. And they are famous for the Portuguese Egg Tart that makes a perfect souvenir or handy gift for friends and family.
This place reminds me of Jing Xuan Hong Kong Dim Sum , from the long queue and also the variety of dim sum they offer. We waited a while for the seats and ordered a few dishes. Price is considered quite pocket-friendly with the given portion and the size of the dim sum is pretty huge. Taste was considered pretty okay too. We wished Fried Radish Cake has got more wok hei while the meat inside the Deep Fried Crispy Yam Dumpling was on the sweeter side.
