Bottega Mediterranea @ Bukit Ceylon, KL
Bottega Mediterranea
Located in the heart of city center, this is a small space that housed a no frills Italian café, pizzeria and grocer. I didn’t know about this place until my colleague highlighted it to me, telling me they have the best pizza in the city.
Once entering the premise, you will be warm-welcomed by bottles of imported goods such as olive oil, truffle oil, pickles, pasta sauces, vinegar and many more; they are available for in-store purchases or online orders too! The premise is pretty quaint with limited table settings, so reservation is highly recommended. It was quite a full house even on a Monday lunch.
First thing first. Pop a bottle – Germin Prosecco Millesime (Rm 150)
A bubbly is always a perfect match with everything, including the cheese and meat board too.
Charcuterie (Rm 58)
With a selection of their ham-salami-cheeses; served pickle vegetables and dips.
Oh I love this max! The cold cuts were really good. We were too busy munching and didn’t get their names. One of the cold cuts was very aromatic with a nutty hint, I couldn’t stop munching on that.
Pecaminosa (Rm 38)
Mozzarella tomato Porchetta Pumpkin Buffalo mozzarella marinated Sardines
With pumpkin and marinated sardine. What a combination but they were super match. The pizza dough was very aromatic with light chewiness! So good that we couldn’t stop ourselves munching on it.
One cappuccino (Rm 10) to end the meal.
