We started off with an array of dainty cold savouries, presented on a black clay slate and decorated with a smoky dry ice that gave a magical feeling. The bites a mix of western and Asian presentation and I loved all of them!
Chicken Lyonner Focaccia Bread
Smoked Salmon Bagel
Vegetables Wrap & Roll with Sweet Chilli Dip
Vegetables Vietnamese Roll
Hot Savouries came next, and I found myself couldn’t stop on the lemongrass Spiced Fish. Delicious! Chicken Pie was served piping hot with buttery pastry layer, so did the shepherd pies and beef sliders too. At this stage, we were quite full.
Beef Slider with Charcoal Bun (or you may opt for fish slider)
Lemon Grass Spiced Fish
Shepherd Pie
Chicken Black Pepper Pie
Time for some real sweet stuffs. No high tea is complete without scones. Light and fluffy scones were served to us, along with the fruit tartlet. Love the fruit tartlet that was made with flaky buttery pastry base.
Fruit Tartlets
Scones with Chocolate Ganache & Whipping Cream
Tea of your choice (English breakfast, chamomile, earl grey, green tea)
Coming up to the most exciting part – ARTEASTRY experience, presented by the chef, using the table top to do her artwork.
The chef painted the table with drips and stokes made with chocolate sauce, raspberry confit, chocolate soil, biscuit crumbs, mango chutney; placed the gigantic green tinted chocolate sphere on the soil, finally decorated the art piece with peanut butter macaroons, colourful marshmallow, jelly beans and cut fruits.
I was given a chance to perform the gentle knock with the tool before a drizzle of hot chocolate being pour over the sphere. Inside, there were buttery cheesy cheese cake cubes which were pretty yummy and not overly satiating! At this stage, we were indeed very very full! And this is why I said earlier, this is the best find that is most value for money afternoon tea I came across so far!
