Yakiniku Toraji @ 4F The Table, Isetan The Japan Store KL
Posh place for lunch but wouldn’t cost you an arm or a leg?! Hear me! You can find it here in
Yakiniku Toraji
Started up its business in a small backstreet in Ebisu in Tokyo’s Shibuya; Toraji gets its name from the Korean word for Balloon flower which is used as medicinal herbs since old time. Toraji aims to serve customers with food that is same like the Balloon flower; that is beautiful to behold, delicious to eat and healthy for body.
Chanja
The spicy cod innards, a type of pickled that is marinated with salt, chili pepper, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil and etc. Not many people may dare to try this item but I had to say it was addictive to go together with kimchi on top and the smooth creamy cheese tofu(?) underneath.
Kalbi and Prime Fillet Set (Rm 30)
At only Rm 30!!!! Available at lunch time but limited to 10 sets per day. The set comes with slices of kalbi and prime fillet for grilling, accompanied with kimchi, salad, soup and rice. This will never burn a big hole in your pocket. Hehe.
Mixed Set Meal (Rm 40)
If you didn’t manage to grab the limited set, go for this mix of Kalbi boneless ribs and Harami Outside skirt that is also completed with rice, soup and kimchi and salad as side dish.
Sexy meat on the grill. You need not worry of walking away like barbequed-meat because the ventilation here is excellent. They must have invested a lot on the suction ventilator. Every mouthful of their beef was amazing! Marinated in their special Toraji sauce which is known as their secret recipe. The beef pieces were their perfect cut, lightly marbled, tender and beefy. Delicious!

Kalbi Bone with Spicy Sauce
Love those collagenous pieces that stick round the bone.
Hot and Spicy “Yukkejang” Noodles Soup set meal (Rm 35)
Also known as spicy beef soup that made with shredded beef with scallios and many more ingredients, simmered for long hours to obtain its freshness essence. Sourish, tangy and spicy, served piping hot; such a comfort food especially on the cooling day. Completed with Korean norimaki, salad and kimchi as a set which is quite value for money.
Sweet Potato Cake (Rm 18)
Paired with Wasabi and Yuzu Ice Cream. Wasabi ice cream is hinted strongly with wasabi. A good ending to wash off the satiated meaty meal. So did the refreshing citrusy yuzu ice cream.
Almond Pudding (Rm 12).
Creamy and smooth!
Yakiniku must have! Some chilled Grapefruit Sour and honeyed jujube drink!
