Coming back to the afternoon tea tale, I found out a good afternoon tea place that is affordable and delicious, just very recently. It’s nowhere but Encore Pastry cum café cum restaurant. Ready to follow me on a tai-tai journey?

How good is good??? At just Rm 50, you will be able to get a 3-tier filled with delectable delights, with sweets and savouries and a pot of tea that is good enough to feed 2 pax! It’s such steal, right?! Moreover, you can even start having afternoon tea during lunch hour if you don’t feel like having some real heavy dishes for lunch.

Palmier cookies
Pretty love their mille feuille, tarts, and quiche! Their pastry bases were buttery, light and fragrant.
Lovely Palmier cookies, prettily shaped like a butterfly, coated with sugar and baked to crispiness! Best to go with a cup of coffee. You can change the tea with coffee at a small top up.
I used to think Encore sells only tarts as they are very famous for their lemon tart; but they have more than just pastries.
Bircher Muesli (Rm 15)
Oats with cranberries, grated apple, milk, orange juice, topped with blueberries and strawberries. An energetic healthy start of the day.
Basil Pesto Chicken Wrap (Rm 18)
Tortilla wrap with crispy chicken, gem lettuce, tomato, egg, fresh grated parmesan, cheese, basil pesto mayo and curly fries. Super hearty combo and you gotta order this. Looks heavy but you can always half half with your partner in crime. Just too good especially that aromatic basil pesto mayo! Wonder if I will successfully mimic the mayo at home?!
Opera Cake & Ice Cream
Cake is priced at RM 9 with add on of ice cream at RM 3.
Rich chocolaty multilayers opera cake coated with chocolate ganache. Cut through it and you will find how sinful it is. Chocolate lover like me will madly fall in love into this!
