Pâtissez Malaysia @ Bangsar, KL
Came all the way from Canberra, Australia; landing his foot in Bangsar, serving the mind-blowing Freak Shake to Malaysians…
Pâtissez Malaysia
Is his name.
Pâtissez is the home of Freak Shake, a small bakery in Canberra, Australia where the bakers transformed the ordinary and shy milkshake into something special. Ice cream, whipped cream, crumbles, cakes, cookies, jams, sauces are all shoved in the Mason jar that filled with milkshakes, overflowing-ly done. Each element is carefully selected and matches together and complements each other to bring a complete flavour experience. Very sinful when you see the real item where all the elements are overflow.
Sugar overladen eh?! But good thing, the sweetness level is already toned down here in Pâtissez Malaysia. Even I, find them just nice!
Pâtissez opens its door few months back but their FreakShakes and unique desserts are virally shared on social media. Yes, yes. That’s the very instagrammable dish. Messy, colourful, vibrant, and most importantly, they are yummy [PS. Not all instagrammable dishes are yummy]!!!
Let’s experience the original FreakShakes and the yummy dishes from Australia!
Pretzellâ (Rm 23)
The best seller and everyone’s favourite. Nutellary Nutella shake with lashings of Nutella, crushes salty pretzels, Nutella dunked pretzels and super light whipped vanilla mousse. As a Nutella’s fan, how can I resist this?! There goes my calorie counts but I didn’t care. I even tried to polish clean the “windows” of the Mason jar. Really a must have if you are here.
Mint Condition (Rm 23)
Mint and chunky choc shake with gooey choc fudge sauce, mint milk crumb, mint choc semifredo and choc cookie sandwich. So choco so minty.
The 2 other flavours available are Muddy Pât and Like â Velvet.
Corn & Zucchini Fritters (Rm 23)
Sweet corn and zucchini fritters, roaster capsicum sauce, smashed avocado, 2 poached eggs, kale pesto and confit cherry tomatoes. I was told this is the REAL Australian food and yes I’m loving it. It looked a kind of healthy plate to me. On this plate, you get all kind of textures. Love the combo and mushy ingredients on the crispy corn fritters.
Freak Burger (Rm 38)
Pâtissez blend beef mince, smoked chicken bacon, American cheddar, house made BBQ Sauce, Pâtissez chicken jam and served with shoe string fries on side. The meat and patty was bursting with mega flavours, nicely done and sandwiched in between the buns.
Spring Salmon (Rm 45)
Not a meaty person? Go for the fish! Crispy skin salmon fillet, grilled asparagus and snow peas, confit cherry tomatoes, smashed avocado, kale pesto and cuts of fresh lime wedges. Super fresh salmon with fragrant crispy skin and went well with the smashed avocado mix. I think I can have this every day!!!
Cheeky Beef (Rm 35)
Slow cooked beef with black eye beans, baked egg center, kale pesto, shaved parmigiana and served with sourdough slices. Pretty addictive dish, scooping up mouthful of tender beef with the help of crispy sourdough. Yum!
Pâtissez Hot Cakes
Fluffy hot cakes dressed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and orange mango slices reduction; and finally drizzled with honey.
Pâtissez Housemade Fluffy Doughnuts (Rm 6.9 each)
We had the Peanut Butter Ganache Doughnuts. So sinful but who cares! Haha!!!
Other flavours available are Raspberry White Chocolate Cheese Cake, Nutella and Salted Caramel. Add vanilla ice cream at the Rm 2.
Coffee to go with the sweet stuff.
