ROCKU Yakiniku Japanese Charcoal Grill @ Pavilion KL
Located up at the 7th floor in Pavilion kl, here is one of the newest restaurants in the city. This is not an ordinary yakiniku restaurant serving just Japanese BBQ, but it combines the all-you-can-eat buffet concept with lively entertainments going around.
ROCKU Yakiniku Japanese Charcoal Grill
The décor here is pretty awesome, filled with really cool and funky mural and manga pages plastered on the brick wall. There is a mini stage in the center of the restaurant, with amazing live band singing all night long (some of the nights). Not to mention, there is also “magic” night too where you will be entertained with some mystery magic.
Food wise, I was pretty amazed with their selections. Aside from the unlimited servings of premium meat and seafood, there were some salad and cold dishes like kimchi, potato salad, chukka idako and seasoned seaweed. Some carbo like fried rice and fried noodles as the tummy filler, vegetables for grilling and fruits too.
Munched on the juicy gyoza and chicken karaage while waiting for the ingredients up to our table.
Rocku Yakiniku uses real charcoal pits, another plus point when grilling the ingredients as it will give a special smokiness to the grilled items. Afraid of leaving the restaurant with the grease and smoky smell on you? Fear not as you will not wear any smelly smoky scent when leaving and you can even shop in the mall first before heading home for a shower. This is because Rocku Yakiniku’s suction system that is stored under each grilling pit that does a marvellous job eliminating the grease and smoke.
Sauces to go with the grilled meat.
Chicken thighs
Seafood selection includes butterfish, mussel, salmon, prawns, scallop, squid, and shishamo. The ingredients they sourced were very fresh. The seafood was bursting with flavours with just simple marinade and then grilled under the charcoal pit.
Look at these huge fresh bubbling scallops!!!
More scallops!!!
Beef (imported from Australia and New Zealand) selections includes beef striploin, beef chuck tender, beef ribeye, or go for beef platter that is the combination of all. The beef slices were really tender and succulent. Be careful when grilling them as they can easily flame up the fire.
Yummmmmz! Remember not to overcook the beef!
Pork includes bacon, pork collar, pork belly with great ratio of fats and lean meat and go for pork platter if you fancy all.
And You know what?! Half price for all the beers!!!
The 100-minute yakiniku buffet is priced at
Lunch: 11am to 5pm – Rm 39.9++ per pax
Dinner: 5pm to 10pm – Rm 49.9++ per pax
Children get 50% off the price of adult.
For those who wish to extend the stay, you will be charged at Rm 9.9++ for every 20 mins. But the 100-minute is pretty sufficient as you will be walking away with very satisfying stomach.
