Madame Waffle @ Mid Valley Megamall, KL
When it comes to Mid Valley Megamall, my must-go pit stop besides Nana Green Tea, will definitely be this new face that is up here not long ago.
Madame Waffle
Located at Level 3 Mezzanie Floor, right (far) opposite Magnum Café; serving the quickie snack that is one of the hot topics recently (and still going on). Madame Waffle is specializing in Liege Waffles using premium quality ingredients from Japan.
What is Liege waffle? Well, it’s part of the Belgian waffles where Belgian waffles are divided into 2 types, namely Brussels waffles and Liege Waffles. Brussels waffles are prepared with egg white or yeast-leaved batter; which are lighter, crispier and normally come with squarer sides while this Liege Waffles has brioche bread dough texture which are richer, denser, sweeter and chewier. And pearl sugar is the secret ingredient in Liege waffle, which gives the crispy caramelizing effect to the waffle.
Waffles here come with different flavours; original, honey, cinnamon, chocolate, coffee, white chocolate and matcha. I have tried 2 out of all flavours and immediately fall in love with them.
Flat White (Rm 10.5)
Brewed with Arabica coffee bean roasted by Espresso Sporting Cub Coffee Roasters.
Ice Japanese Matcha Latte (Rm 12)
Served with matcha gelato
Original Waffle (Rm 5.9)
Vanilla infused waffle with pearl sugar; love this kind of brioche-bread-liked, chewy texture of the waffle. Waffle and coffee is the perfect combo.
Signature Green Tea (Rm 16)
Green Tea waffle, matcha gelato, strawberries and whipped cream with azuki beans. The waffle was intense with strong and aromatic green tea flavour. It was really flavourful and went well with their matcha gelato. My only grip was, their azuki beans were made too sweet to our liking. Hence, half of the dollop was left over there.
Okay, here concluded my another pit stop after long hour of shopping and walking. Where is your pit stop in Mid Valley Megamall?! Do share me yours!
