The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat @ Ipoh
Ahhhh, paradise…
This is definitely the prettiest hot springs paradise in Malaysia.
The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat
A merely 2 hours drive from KL, this is the Malaysia’s first luxury natural hot springs wellness retreat which housed only 25 villas of garden and water villas; encouraging healthy living in food and daily lifestyle. This place is completed with rainforest, geothermal hot spring, natural caves and waterfalls!!! It is really a mind-blowing paradise, a place to release all the tense accumulated at work and life; and rejuvenate and restore your energy back.
Thank to my lovely aunt for taking me along on this trip last year! I love you Aunt! <3
On our way to the villa, we were introduced with the features around.
Spa & Wellness
Outdoor swimming pool – the mineral-rich geothermal-heated swimming pool.
Geothermal Hot Springs Dipping Pool, with temperature up to 40+ degree.
Garra Rufa Doctor Fish Pool
Thermal Steam Cave which overlooking the crystal clear geothermal hot spring water
Sorry, no photos on it as I can’t risk my camera into the Steam Cave. Yes, what I like most is their Steam Cave!!! With natural heat from the geothermal hot spring, working like a sauna, you will sweat up in seconds; detoxify and release all the stress. Ice Bath is located outside the steam cave. Request for extra ice if you loved a dip in.
Crystal Cave; filled with the powerful amethyst and quartz crystals.
Water Villa, overlooking the water canal and equipped with a balcony.
Here is the Garden Villa I stayed in for a night.
with a living room and private dining area.
There was a private huge pool, and also a Jacuzzi with natural geothermal hot springs water. As though we were in the heaven, soaked in the hot springs water and then jumped into the pool and then returned again to the Jacuzzi for hot springs water bubble bath!!! It was so much fun!
After a stroll and placed our stuff into the room, we then headed over to get our drinks and mesmerized the view of greenery and geothermal hot springs before the night falls.
Dinner at The Pomelo as well as the breakfast next day too. The Pomelo practises S.L.O.W (Seasonal, Low-Fat, Organic and Whole) in their cooking and serves organic dishes. Tastewise, they are “very healthy” and in case you are not used to it, you can always hop out for street food or so in Ipoh. But then again, here in the paradise, one would definitely wanna stay in whole day here, stay away from reality.
After the dinner, it’s time to make our visit to the Jeff’s Cellar which is only opened from 9pm till 11pm. It was set within the limestone cave, a unique wine bar for one to chill out.
We had a birthday celebration in here. How sweet The Banjaran’s staffs were! They prepared us a cake for the special celebration night.
A short while later, we were given a tour into the cellar. Here, an extra ordinary eye opening session, on wine and liquor collection of the founder and these collections definitely cost a bomb. And we partied till late in our villa but I hurriedly fall asleep after the soothing hot spring dip.
The next day was chilling around before breakfast and yes, they provide yoga class session with the master early in the morning facing the beautiful view. Do check out the schedule for that.
Or you can do yoga at the Meditation Cave too. Just right behind the beautiful small waterfall.
Amazing place isn’t it?!
Breakfast at The Pomelo and then we went for more hot spring dips!!!
Remember to catch the magnificent view at The Balcony before leaving the place.
