The Kitchen Table Restaurant & Bakery @ Damansara Kim
I love how things going on here.
Bakery café during the day and restaurant at night.
The Kitchen Table Restaurant & Bakery
Run by the young restaurateurs – Marcus and Mei Wan (who used to run a supper club based in Mont Kiara), this is a few months old restaurant that stood up along a shop-house street in Damansara Kim PJ, serving delightful Modern American dishes that are great for sharing. Their dinner menu is a short but sweet one. Though the menu is not that extensive, one may actually get addicted to what they served especially the fried chicken and pork belly, as well as the sinful desserts.
Lemongrass & Ginger Fizz (Rm 25) for sharing.
A refreshing start before we dig in our food.
Citrus Salad (Rm 24)
Citrus fruits salad topped with grilled calamari and touched with capers and dressed with shallot vinaigrette. A refreshing tangy appetizer before the mains. Love how they assembled everything with the colourful elements; that allows the eyes to eat first before really taste them.
Pork Belly (Rm 46)
A very seductive dish, with a balance proportion of fats and lean meat pork belly, appeared glossily attractive in the apple reduction, served with potato puree and watercress. Those who dislike the fatty portion may find it too much. But I myself love it. Gimme more of those fatty layers of the pork belly. Yum!
Buckwheat Fried Chicken (Rm 38)
Hot piping deep fried chicken which was lightly battered, served with Thai basil crisp and pomelo salad at the side. The fried chicken was very flavourful and greaseless at the same time. How I wish it came with only drumsticks and chicken wings, all my favourites.
Never leave without having their desserts. Dark Chocolate Tart (Rm 15) with almond tuiles. Amazingly rich, creamy, bittery chocolate tart. Such a great sweet ending.
Earl Grey Crème Brulee (Rm 15)
Fragrant and creamy dessert, you will get the soft creamy texture of dessert after crackling through the caramelized sugar. Dip the shortbread fingers into the creamy texture of cream brulee to enjoy them at a different level.
It is now one of my favourite finds, so do Sitka. Will blog about that soon. Can’t wait to try out their others menu!!!
