That Latte Place @ Persiaran Ritchie, Ampang Hilir
It has been a while since my last cup of coffee; my last cup would be a month back! Huhhh, long enough ehh. Till one Sunday, the bff got me up for breakfast. We were told that this place could be crowded during weekend and may need a long wait for your plates to be served. The kiasu-ness in us rose and we decided to make our way there early in the morning. We crawled out of our beds and came here with the puffy eyes and the just-woke-up mood.
That Latte Place
Hidden in Yayasan Seni Berdaftar (a place with its objective to preserve the art and culture of our Malaysian heritage) that is located at Persiaran Ritchie; a place that is surrounded by the vibrant green nature, here is a little shack with a bunch of people that make good breakfast and brew real good coffee. I am sure it’s quite difficult to get a place where you can sit down under the sun, absorb some natural vitamin D while enjoy the scenery and your sunny meal too.
Flat White for us; wake up wake up and go away puffy eyes.
House Egg Benedict (Rm 12.90 for single)
Poached eggs, signature Hollandaise sauce, chicken ham, sautéed mushrooms and served on a slice of homemade brioche toast, accompanied with sides such as roasted potatoes and fresh salad. Perfectly poached egg with creamy sauce, love having it with the chicken ham and sautéed mushrooms underneath. However, the homemade brioche toast was a letdown. It was not the texture I fancy as it was chewy and very sticky to our teeth. Well, thanks to the roasted potatoes as the side, it was buttery and aromatic.
Bursting the egg yolk is always an exciting moment.
Pancakes with Fruit Salad (Rm 8.90)
3 pieces of puffed pancakes, creamy butter fruit salad and maple syrup. Their pancake was chewy crumbly with muffin-liked texture. Nothing to shout out about and it’s definitely an easy dish that one could perform it at home.
Tangy Lemon Cheesecake (Rm 7)
Creamy lemony cheesecake. We saved our tummies for this love it.
Besides coffee and breakfast or brunch, do spare some times for some activities going round in the center too. Activities are such as porcelain painting, canvas painting and batik painting. If you have kids, bring them along. Let them learn what Malaysian arts and crafts are!
