PastryVille @ Hartamas Shopping Centre, KL
When the gals have got plenty of time to spare during the weekends, here is one they must do – Brunch or Afternoon tea.
PastryVille was our pick on one lazy Sunday afternoon. A modern minimalist pastry house in black and white; decorated with old-school light bulbs and inspiring wall posters, PastryVille is a boutique bakery that offers a wide selection of freshly baked-s from French traditional loafs and pastries to Japanese inspired buns and pastries; using classic time-honoured baking technique.
Cappuccino
We had the Hazelnut Latte (Rm 9.90) and Cappuccino (Rm 7.90) for a caffeine fix. The caffeinated drinks had got nothing to shout out about and my bff said her hazelnut latte was too sweet.
Hazelnut Latte
We had the Margherita (Rm 4); the baguette with Tomato and Cheese. It was really fresh and appetizing with the sauce and fresh tomato slices and fragrant with garlic butter on the baguette. Lovely bite it is; would be great if it is reheated before served. Almond Croissant (Rm 2.50) was flaky and buttery, very lovely but not as plump as the one I had in Wheatfield. As for Maple Pillow (Rm 3.80), it was doughy and on the sweeter side, I left half as the next day’s breakfast, it was okay but just a little dryer. Arabica (Rm 12.90), one of the bestseller after blueberry rare cheese; was the Vanilla praline mousse, coffee chocolate and hazelnut feuiletine.
