Yashi-No-Mi Japanese Café @ Wisma Cosway, KL
I didn’t know there are actually lots of hidden gems in this building, till a reader told me I should check out this place and try them out!
Yashi-No-Mi Japanese Café is the humble little gem hidden in this building. There is an old school bar counter where you could always sit there and enjoy a glass or two; with very western-ish style sofa and tables; it looks so like a neighbourhood pub!
I guess there are a lot of office workers will be here happy-hour-ing after hard day of work.
This Japanese café offers lunch combo set from 12pm – 2.30pm. At the price of less than Rm 20 (for main portion size S), you could have a hearty bowl of rice full with delicious bits, a portion of salad with wafu dressing, a miso soup and a drink (choice of ice lemon tea or green tea). It’s oh-so-value-for-money!
Mentaiko Omu (Rm 17)
Fluffy tomato-ed fried rice served within a thin layer of fried egg; served with cod egg and mayo. This may be a bit too plain for the carnivores; but it was very homey.
Buta Shougayaki Don (Rm 19 – M size)
We had this done M size and it came loaded with stir-fried pork belly with onion in light sauce and extra portion of rice! Very fragrant bowl of don and don’t forget to add in the Japanese chilli flakes/ spices available for extra kick.
Buta Kimchi Don (Rm 19)
This was our favourite of all! Stir-fried pork belly with kimchi, carrot slices and greens! Mix it well with the rice and enjoy the flavoursome rice full with lots of condiments. You will love it if you love kimchi and pork belly.
Love every bite till the very last mouthful of it. Even till the very last spoonful of rice, the condiments’ portion was greater than the rice.
The above portions were S except for the Buta Shougayaki Don which was M. Add Rm 2 for M and Rm 4 for L.

Hi Gan,
sorry to make you hungry everytime.
well, a solution, do prepare some food along with you whenever you read my blog 🙂
happy reading, cheers!
Goodness I didn’t even know this place was here. So many Japanese restaurants in KL these days.
The mentaiku omu is my regular must have though like you, I think its a lil inadequate for carnivorous folks…like me.
