Japin 绝品 @ Sungei Wang Plaza, KL
That was another day having an outing with Chris&Christine and a good friend of us.
We often find it difficult to decide where to eat when we are hanging out in Sungei Wang Plaza. We always have to check out the information counter or board, loiter all floors and seek through every corner, survey every restaurant in order to decide where to have our lunch/dinner.
Sigh…
This time, Japin saved our day!!!
The set promotion menu looked promising. Therefore, we ordered few sets. Each set comes with a drink, miso soup and cuts of fresh fruit.
Chasyu Fried Rice Set (RM 9.80)
Spicy Teriyaki Chicken with Egg Set (RM 12.80)
Japanese BBQ Rice Set (RM 15.80)
Chicken Chop Spicy Ramen Set (RM 14.80)
comes with fried chicken cutlets
We order the Aji Tama – the egg as side dish (RM 1.80)
with runny egg yolk we all love!!!
Verdict: This is not a place where you can get really authentic Japanese food. Most of the dishes are altered to suit Malaysians’ taste buds such as adding chilli onto teriyaki chicken, so does the spicy ramen which was extra spicier. We all love the eggs with yellowish runny egg yolk and the Japanese BBQ rice set that where the pork slices/ bacon were very well marinated and seasoned. Price-wise, the set priced reasonably as you can have a main, drink, soup, and fruit as dessert.
Note: This was back in February. Japin may have changed their promotion set menu 🙂

Nowadays, I seldom visit Sg Wang already. Mostly will buy some gadget @ Low Yat plaza. Will try to look for this if we happen to be around 🙂
如果没错,槟城QB Mall也有一间,不错吃!
Will check it out. I often pop over to Sg Wang when I'm waiting for the bf who visits Low Yat quite often. Thxs for the tip.
我喜欢店里一个杏仁红豆的甜品。
那颗温泉蛋我也喜欢吃啊~
I constantly find myself struggling with the food options (or rather, lack thereof) in Sg Wang and its vicinity.
Yyon s,
Check it out, it worth a try
孤傲的王子,
对呀,北部应该有一家同样的。
Boo,
Welcome 🙂 hehe
Shinshin,
是吗,下回我要试一试你介绍的甜点,谢谢哦。
j2kfm,
Sigh, we often find it difficult to choose wat to eat in this mall, rather lack of good options/ good food around. And in the end, we will hop over to hutong at lot10
The BBQ pork look like one of the Chinese dai chow food – Genting Pork Belly 😛
Choi yen,
Genting pork belly???
There's a branch in Japin in Penang Queensbay Mall.
I agree with you that the Aji Tama were awesome … I always had 2 when dine there. Hope they maintain the quality all these year.
Looks good 🙂
