Hailam Kopitiam @ Damansara Perdana
This was another peaceful lunch before our crazy shopping activity going on. We were dropping over our favourite boutique again. Yen was late this time. While waiting for her arrival, we had ourselves seats in HaiLam Kopitiam which is situated a few shops next to the boutique.
What a cozy ambience. Simply in love with the oldish look of every kopitiam(s).
Since we were in the Hainan-type kopitiam, I had their Hainanese Special White Coffee. It had the strong aroma of coffee. It was simply good to go with my main course.
.
Christine had Jasmine Honey Tea which came in a big pot of tea. It tasted jasmine-ly but not the honey taste. Good thing that it came in a big pot. We can slowly ‘tan-cha’while waiting for Yen and Shirley (who claimed to be coming along with Yen).
I had the Hainanese Fish Fillet Sandwich where I chose my fillet to be cooked in black pepper style. The bread was just the normal bread but the peppery taste was just nice and never overtook the taste of fried fillet. although this was fried stuff, the fillet was juicy. They went well together with the bread.
.
As for Christine, she had the Toasted Bun with Rendang chicken. From the menu, it showed the round bun but ended up it came in a short rectangular bun. Maybe they were out of round bun?! Taste wise, I never knew Rendang went so well with the bun. Slightly spicy but the Rendang Chicken was good.
P.S. I noticed that there was an error in their menu. *hehe*
I haven’t been to this place before but the Hainanese fish fillet sandwich looks more like a hotdog to me. Haha! The toasted bun with rendang chicken looks delicious btw. Would want to try this place out next time!

Hey! ai wei, this saturday we would like to invite for a dinner, please contact us asap at 012 3021269
Interesting stuff, something different from the usual commercialised kopitiam.
The food looks good. But I think it’s not cheap. More pricey than other restaurants.
