Like Mom Korean Cafe @ Plaza Damas, Hartamas
Like Mom is a cute Korean café, run by a pair of friendly Korean couple; offering gourmet coffee, homemade bread and pastries. The décor inside the café is simple but homey, with beautiful decorative tea cups all over the café (I almost wanted to spend on the tea cups). The ingredients they used in the cooking and baking are natural and free from preservatives. Freshly roasted coffee beans are imported from Korea on weekly basis. I would say, they cook the meals with sincere hearts.
We ordered the Latte and Cappuccino, very aromatic and velvety smooth. On food, we had the pasta set (Rm 18 + Rm 2 for soup and coffee) that came with a mushroom potato soup and creamy pasta. However, we found that the pasta wasn’t that well seasoned. And, it was way too bland to our liking. The Vegetable Sandwich (Rm 12.90) was really good and the portion was generous. In between the homemade bread were the tofu, cheese, veggie and salad and then dressed with sweet and sourish appetizing dressing. I couldn’t finish up the whole portion and tapao another half portion home.
Like Mom runs a Drip Coffee Academy. Each level consists of 6 sessions for the price of Rm 130++ (per level). Me and Citygal were about to sign up ourselves for the classes. However, our schedule last year didn’t able to fit it in. Since it is a brand new year now, I do really have to consider in stuffing the course into my schedule. Are you in with me, Citygal???
